Dr. Seltzer is a recognized leader in the area of cardiac safety, Endpoint Adjudication Committees and Data and Safety Monitoring Committees.  He has chaired and served as a committee member for scores of protocols, and has functioned as an advisor for dozens more.  He is actively publishing in these areas and participating in thought leadership efforts focused on defining best practices. Currently, Dr. Seltzer is on the scientific programs committee for the Cardiac Safety Research Consortium (CSRC) and the steering committee for the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI). Previously, he served as the president and chair of Trustees for the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research.   

He has received board certification in both cardiology and internal medicine and holds a B.A. from Haverford College, an MBA and M.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Seltzer received postgraduate medical training at the University of Michigan, University of Maryland and University of Chicago. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and also currently serves as Director of Clinical Research at the Main Line Health Heart Center.

Steven M. Eisenstein

Mr. Eisenstein currently serves as ACI Clinical’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining ACI Clinical, Mr. Eisenstein served as Vice President and Controller of eResearchTechnology, Inc. (ERT), a clinical trials service and technology provider specializing in cardiac safety, respiratory efficacy and clinical outcomes assessment. During this time, ERT grew more than tenfold through organic growth and acquisitions and was taken private by a private equity firm. Prior to joining ERT, Mr. Eisenstein was a leader in financial analysis for UGI Corporation, a utility holding company, where he assisted in the largest master limited partnership offering at the time for AmeriGas, Inc., as well as several transformational acquisitions. Mr. Eisenstein earned his CPA while working at Deloitte, and he holds a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Amy Ghelardi, MBA

Mrs. Ghelardi has more than a decade of experience working in strategic business development and client partnerships, including more than 8 years within the pharmaceutical and CRO industries. Her oversight of ACI’s marketing and sales activities, expert committee member network and corporate partnership efforts is supported by extensive involvement in growth initiatives, corporate positioning, and client relationships. Mrs. Ghelardi received her bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, and her MBA from Villanova University.
Andrew MacKnight
Andrew MacKnightVice President, Operations
Mr. MacKnight joined ACI Clinical as Vice President of Operations and brings a background spanning over 25 years of strategic product development and business management in the Life Sciences industry. Prior to ACI, he was Chief Strategy Officer at the Coriell Institute, an independent, non-profit research center dedicated to the study of the human genome. Mr. MacKnight’s experience in the CRO sector includes leadership of commercial operations at Covance, and responsibility for acquisitions and integration at inVentiv Health Clinical. He also spent over 12 years at GlaxoSmithKline in strategic product development roles with an emphasis on global vaccines and public health. Mr. MacKnight holds an M.A. (hons.) in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow.
Mark Williams

Mr. Williams is a co-founder of ACI Clinical with more than 20 years of experience in information technology applications and clinical data analysis within the CRO sector. His focus has primarily been on leveraging system infrastructures to drive efficiencies in data collection, analysis and presentation. His interest in data standardization led ACI to become one of the earliest CDISC-registered solutions providers within the industry. Mr. Williams has worked with clients and FDA medical officers on more than 50 New Drug Application submissions and he continues to be a subject matter expert in complex data analysis. Mr. Williams received his bachelor’s from Penn State University.
Bindi K. Shah, MD

Dr. Shah joined ACI Clinical as Chief Medical Officer after a 15-year academic career during which she served as an investigator in numerous clinical trials and was a thought leader in cardiac rhythm management. She is an accomplished cardiac electrophysiologist and served as associate professor at Temple University and assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College prior to Temple. She was the chair of the ACC Scientific Sessions planning committee. She has participated in numerous industry advisory boards and is widely published in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Shah has received board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and cardiac electrophysiology. She has a BS in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MD from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She did her residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and then both her fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and cardiac electrophysiology at Cornell University/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
